Starrs Black Belt Academy - Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Family Martial Arts School for ALL Ages Head Instructor Thomas Starr Hanshi has been serving the Greenville area for over 35 years. ([email protected])

Training in the martial Arts over 43 years. Starrs Black Belt Academy is a traditional Okinawan Goju ryu style of karate with many other martial arts influences. We offer three separate programs at our school:

1.)Traditional Karate, for ages 4 yrs and up!
2.)Traditional Okinawan Weaponry. for ages 10 yrs & up.
3.)Sanchin program, This is a principle oriented program for in close self defense met

hods. 12 yrs and up! (No experience is necessary with enrolling in any of these three programs that is offered. Just having the desire to learn is all you need!!! Contact Us to arrange your first introductory lesson.

We had a very special day watching these very special students promote to their new Black Belt ranks. Peyton and Jennifer were promoted to Nidan and Mason and Milania were promoted to Shodan.
These students have trained for many years and have demonstrated such talent, hard work, and determination during this 3,1/2 hour test. We are so proud of you all and your accomplishments. Congratulations!
