This week, our study abroad students visited the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom and the Palace of Westminster, home to Parliament and Big Ben.
As part of their exploration of England’s political and legal systems, students discussed how laws are made, how government functions, and how the UK’s institutions compare to those in the United States.
It’s one thing to study these systems in class. It’s another to stand where they operate every day.

From the classroom to The Hague.
Study abroad students visited the International Criminal Court, where they learned about the Court’s mission, structure, and role in addressing some of the world’s most serious crimes.
Opportunities like this help students see how justice systems operate beyond national borders and bring global perspectives to their academic and professional development.
We’re proud to see our Pirates learning firsthand from one of the world’s most significant international legal institutions.

The adventure begins.
Our Criminal Justice & Criminology study abroad students have officially arrived and are ready to begin an unforgettable international learning experience.
Over the coming days, they’ll explore new cultures, engage with different perspectives, and gain firsthand insights that will broaden their understanding of justice and society in a global context.
We can’t wait to follow their journey and share highlights along the way.
Safe travels, Pirates. 🏴☠️
