***UPDATE***There are still a few spots available on this tour. Even if you're not coming from Columbia, you can provide your own transportation and join the group in Greenville.
Allen University's "Get the Tools" program is hosting a fun and educational field trip on July 12 from 9:30-2:00. They're traveling from Columbia for a "Grow and $ell Tour" of three sites in Greenville: Greenville Technical College (sustainable agriculture's microfarm and the Culinary Institute of the Carolina's facilities); Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Grocery (lunch and learn with Swamp staff); and the urban farm at Saskatoon Steaks, Fish & Wild Game with farmer Chris Miller of That Garden Guy. Happy to see a program that recycles plastic markers. They will send you a shipping label, have FedEx pick up from your school. and pay the shipping costs!
