UA supports ECU's strategic directions by interacting with alumni, friends, and the community to engage and connect these constituents with the university to garner support and secure resources that will enhance ECU's unique place in higher education. Tomorrow, the Pirates take the field. 🏴‍☠️ But before kickoff, there’s something Pirate Nation can accomplish together.

Already, 44 Pirates have stepped forward to support the Students’ Treasure Chest, contributing more than $2,100 to help ECU students facing unexpected financial challenges.

To every one of those donors, thank you. 💜💛

And to everyone who has been following along this week but hasn’t joined them yet, there’s still time.

18 Pirates have already said yes. 💜💛

Together, they’ve given $1,060 to support ECU students through the Students’ Treasure Chest and behind those numbers are students like the one whose words we’re sharing today.

Our goal is 75 Pirates by kickoff. That means we need 57 more people to raise their hands and give a hand up.

You can be one of them. A gift of $10 or more puts us one Pirate closer.

A student can do everything they’re supposed to do and still find themselves facing something they never saw coming.

A change in work hours. An illness. An unexpected emergency. Suddenly, the plan that worked yesterday may not work today.

That’s why the Students’ Treasure Chest is there: to provide emergency support when an unexpected financial challenge threatens to become an obstacle to a student’s success.

What is the Students’ Treasure Chest and what does it mean for ECU students? 💜💛

At its heart, it’s about Pirate Nation taking care of its own.

The Students’ Treasure Chest provides emergency support to help students keep moving forward when the unexpected happens. It’s student focused, Pirate supported and rooted in a simple idea: sometimes, a little help at the right moment can make all the difference.
