Junior Parent Night 2022 ~ Wednesday, May 4

6:00-7:00 PM GHS Media Center

There will be a representative from Northern Michigan University to come and talk to students and parents about what your students Senior year will be like and good practices on how to prepare for college.
There will be a time for questions after the meeting!
Prom 2k22 in the books! What a wonderful night!
Wednesday, April 13th:
Seniors have Job Shadow Day.
9th & 10th graders take the PSAT from 7:35-11:00ish. Students stay in their testing room from 11:00ish until the juniors are done testing around 12;15-12:30ish.
11th graders will take the SAT from 7:35-12:20ish
As soon as juniors are done with testing the whole school will take one open campus lunch for at least 30 minutes (maybe more depending on when juniors get done with testing)
Passing bell will ring bringing lunch to a close at 1:00pm and the rest of the day (minus the seniors) will be:
1st period 1:05-1:15pm
3rd period 1:20-1:30pm
4th period 1:35-1:45pm
5th period 1:50-2:00pm
6th period 2:05-2:15pm
7th period 2:20-2:30pm

Thursday, April 14th: Juniors will be taking ACT Workkeys. 9th, 10th, and 12 graders will be having a "regular" bell schedule. Juniors will join their afternoon classes after they eat lunch.

Friday, April 15: Good Friday--No School!

Would you like to learn more about Internet Safety for your family? This FREE community training will be held on Monday, October 16, starting at 5:30pm at the Montcalm Area Career Center (1550 W Sidney Rd, Sidney). Register by emailing Sue Kearney at [email protected] before 10/12 to reserve dinner and a gas card! The facilitator is Trooper Steve Schutter from the Michigan State Police and the event is sponsored by the We Care for Kids Council of Montcalm County.

GPS would like to thank our 2022 Elmer Russell School Bell Award winners for joining us in this year's Danish Festival Dansk Parade on Saturday (8/19). Parade photo includes Robin Walter, Vice President/School Liasion for the Flat River Historial Society & Museum, and Don Bryant, a recently retired maintenance from Greenville Public Schools. A special THANK YOU to Tinney Automotive for providing a vehicle and a driver for our award recipients to participate in the parade. GPS is grateful for all individuals and organizations that continue to support our staff and students.

The 2023 winners will be announced via social media soon, and they will be invited to participate in next year's Danish Festival Parade with us!

Starting out strong with an amazing BMX bike show as we look at respect, responsibility, and resilience while ramping up to the Goal of Graduation and Beyond!!!

REMINDER - GPS is hosting a District-Wide Medication Drop Off TODAY (Thursday, August 17, 2023) at the Greenville High School - Lobby (111 N. Hillcrest Street) from 11:00am-2:00pm and 3:00-5:30pm.

GPS Staff were welcomed back this morning with a delicious breakfast served up by the GPS Food & Nutrition Team, along with a program held in the GHS Auditorium to celebrate the support of local foundations (GACF & EFG), years of service awards, and more! We are looking forward to the first day of school on Monday, August 21st!
