Some “Trash Busters” stayed after school yesterday to begin sorting caps/lids for our next big project! ♻️
*We are still collecting caps/lids. Also, there will be a fee that goes along with the project and we will be fundraising in the New Year, however we are also accepting donations. Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks for everyone’s help!

We are starting a new recycling project at GES! Two years ago we partnered with our local Wayne county 4-H Club and Green Tree Plastics (GTP) out of Evansville, Indiana to repurpose collected lids and caps into 2 buddy benches for GES and WES.
Our new goal is to get 2-4 picnic tables for outdoor seating for recreational use as well as outdoor instruction at GES! We are looking to collect over 1000 lbs of lids to make this dream come true! Please share this post. There is a monetary cost of $425.00 for each picnic table. We will be organizing fundraising and taking donations. If you are able to donate, please make donations payable to GES Trash Busters Recycling Club at Greenville Elementary School. All lid/cap donations will be accepted at GES. Thank you!
