As the academic year continues to unfold, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents who have been an unwavering pillar of support in our students' journey. Your involvement, encouragement, and enthusiasm have been instrumental in their achievements.
But let's not forget the true stars of the show β our incredible students! Your hard work and dedication throughout this week have not gone unnoticed. The results are proof of your commitment, and we couldn't be prouder of your accomplishments.
In recognition of this fantastic teamwork, we're excited to announce the upcoming **Parent Night**. This is your chance to connect with our dedicated educators, ask any questions you might have, and explore our amazing school. Join us on **Saturday, October 21st, 2023, from 6-8 pm** in our school gymnasium. We look forward to seeing both parents and students for an evening of camaraderie.

This week, we shine the spotlight on our incredible GVHS student, Olivia Hanson! π She recently achieved something truly remarkable for our track team and she beat the sate record for the 400m dash for the woman's bracket here in the state of Michigan. Let's give a roaring round of applause to Olivia for making us all proud! π
π The Learning Zone:
Our dedicated students are charging full steam ahead in their educational journey! As we venture further into this semester from October 12th to 20th, keep in mind that our amazing teaching team is always here to support, guide, and inspire. Remember, academic success knows no bounds at GVHS! π

Dear Parents and Students,
We would like to inform you that our school will be conducting assessments in the upcoming week as part of our commitment to academic excellence. These assessments are administered by the Michigan Department of Education and our school district. It is crucial that students are well-rested and prepared for these tests to perform at their best.
Please take note of the following important information:
Testing Schedule:
Monday, October 9: Science Assessment
Tuesday, October 10: Math Assessment
Wednesday, October 11: ELA I Assessment
Thursday, October 12: ELA II Assessment
Friday, October 13, and Monday, October 16: Makeup Testing (only for students who were absent or had district-related commitments)
Cell Phone Usage:
Cell phones are strictly prohibited during testing for both staff and students.
Violating this rule may result in disciplinary action.

Happy Wednesday October 4th! Another week of learning, growth, and exciting events at Greenville High School has passed, and I'm thrilled to share our latest updates with you all. Here's what's been happening and what's on the horizon:
π Academics:
Our dedicated teachers and hardworking students have been making great strides in the classroom. Don't forget to encourage your child to reach out if they ever need extra support or guidance. Together, we can help them achieve their academic goals!
π Extracurriculars:
Our clubs and sports teams have been thriving. Shoutout to our Football team the Greenville Polar bears for their recent victory against the Yellowsdale hornets. Keep up the fantastic work, and remember that GVHS is a place where passions are nurtured and talents are discovered!
π Upcoming Events:
1. Parent-Teacher Conferences: Mark your calendars for October 12th & 13th @ 5-7pm! It's a fantastic opportunity to discuss your child's progress and get to know our dedicated teaching staff better.
2. GVHS Community Cleanup: Let's give back to our beautiful community! Join us on October 5th, 2023 @ 2:00pm for a cleanup event at cats park where students, parents, and staff will work together to make our surroundings even more pristine.
3. Fall Festival: Get ready for some autumn fun! Our annual Fall Festival is just around the corner on October 6th, 2023 @ 5:00pm. Expect pumpkin decorating, a costume contest, and plenty of delicious treats!

We are so proud of our Polar Bear Student Council for a job well done on their trips around the city today. Students visited the Sheriff and Police Offices, the Post Office, the Fire Station and more.
Here at GVHS, we are destined to prepare our students for the real world and are so proud to be able to do so. Our students were so happy to have a day out full of adventures. We want to thank our parent volunteers for their assistance and our council director, Mrs. Patricia Hawkins.
