Aviation Club Fly Day ✈️

Yesterday, members of our aviation club visited the Muhlenberg County Airport & were able to fly with pilots in a Cessna 172 as well as a Piper Cherokee Arrow 2.

Our 8th graders enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by our amazing lunchroom staff yesterday morning then had practice for their promotion ceremony.

Just a reminder about our 8th grade promotion ceremony this evening. 8th graders should arrive at school at 4:45 and go to the cafeteria to get their gowns. Students must be seated in the gym by 5:15. Students need to return gowns to the cafeteria after the ceremony.

On Friday, April 26th, Mr. Chappell’s classes held their annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) Fair. As usual, the event was entirely student-led. Students acted as emcees, led the pledge, sang the national anthem, and introduced judges and sponsors.

The STEM Fair was well attended with guests coming from as far away as Paducah and Lexington. Projects were fully funded by community sponsors. We also had some very generous folks donate door prizes and pizza for the participants. We appreciate everyone who contributed to make this event successful!!

The projects were carefully evaluated by guest judges Daniel Hurt, Dr. George Shifflett, and Martha Jane King. All of the projects were well designed, well built, and received high praises from the judges.
