So thankful that the result was positive for this family. This is an excellent statement from the NAA regarding the need for increased attention to and compassion for elopement and wandering.
A moment of crisis calls for compassion.

Big News regarding the MCCW and paid parental care!
📢 UPDATE 📢
on Medically Complex Children’s Wavier from the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
Self-directed children's attendant care is a home-based service for MCC waiver participants ages one to age 21. It allows the option for eligible parents, relatives or guardians to be paid hourly to deliver the extraordinary care their child needs for day-to-day activities. This option is self-directed and would be used instead of an in-home care agency and personal care aide (PCA).
Interested families who have a child who is covered by the MCC waiver can request the service now by contacting their waiver nurse case manager.

We are growing our Early Intervention team in Anderson county!
We strive to remain a small company so that we can provide intimate relationships to our families; however, we are excited to bring a new member into our team of skilled Early Interventionists.
If you have a Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, child development, social services, or a similar field, at least 1 year experience working with children, and want a fulfilling career working with babies, toddlers, and pre-k aged children with special needs and their families, message me for details!
At Promising Futures we teach caregivers strategies to help their child meet developmental milestones. We find the best therapy and community resources to fit the family’s needs and we teach parents to be their child’s biggest advocate. We also ensure that BabyNet funding is in place for all these services so that all servics are free to families.
Experience is preferred, but a fast learner with initiative, passion, and a strong knowledge of child development will be considered.

We love using homemade activities to engage a child in basic skills, such as: hand eye coordination for placing rings on a dowel, color recognition and matching, and so much language development!
Play is learning and play doesn’t have to be expensive!
