For the first time this year, families who are homeschooling can enroll their students in GISD and use GISD's online curriculum. Teaching will be delivered by teachers and parents, depending on grade level and courses. Students would also be able to participate in athletics, fine arts and other extracurricular activities.

Our highly qualified teachers and curriculum team have developed a rich variety of rigorous offerings that range from Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) at the elementary level to Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses at the high school level. Many CTE classes are being offered online (https://www.greenvilleisd.com/cms/lib/TX01001755/Centricity/Domain/27/BtS-CTE.pdf), including robotics, culinary arts, business and auto tech. At GISD, we go above and beyond the state requirements to offer our students choices that fit their talents and interests.

For families who have been homeschooling or sending their children to a charter or private school, 2020-21 is the perfect year to try out the online curriculum that GISD offers for FREE.
