Day two of our Summer Arts Program was a success! Students are settling in and beginning to expand their artistic boundaries. So grateful for this time with the next generation of artists!

Hiring Announcement!

We are thrilled to have accomplished teaching artist TJ Beitelman joining the FAC Family. TJ is coming to us from the nationally-renowned Creative Writing program at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, where he has taught for 24 years, 11 of which included the role of department chair. He is a published author of multiple genres and has earned multiple fellowships during his time in Alabama.

Welcome, TJ! We can’t wait to have you work with our students.

Last Friday, the Fine Arts Center showcased the creativity, storytelling, and technical talent of our 2026 Digital Filmmaking students during this year’s Student Screening.

From powerful narratives to stunning cinematography, each film reflected the growth, imagination, and dedication our students have brought to their craft throughout the year. We are so proud of these emerging filmmakers for sharing their voices, perspectives, and artistry.

Thank you to the students, families, faculty, and guests who joined us in celebrating an evening of storytelling through film!

The results of the 49th annual Student Music Awards from are in, and FAC Jazz continues to shine.

is once again a winner, bringing home the Jazz Soloist - Honors High School award. Congratulations, Ronnie!

We’ve also got two fabulous alumna who are making their presence known. from is a winner of the Jazz Vocal Soloist - Undergraduate College Division, and earned an award for her solo on “Cheek to Cheek” with the Jazz Singers. Congrats, Leah and Ava!
