Join the Sacred Journey Academy team!
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19
Are you:
On fire for Jesus?
Enthusiastic and flexible?
Comfortable with outcomes-based,
non-traditional curricula?
Committed to students’ learning –
and not just teaching students?
We are looking for Spirit-led, capable teachers who are comfortable with a non-traditional Christian education.
Imagine a Christian Academy:
That puts God first; pays teachers and staff an honorable, livable wage; that keeps family time a priority, with a family friendly schedule for all, including teachers; where Christian character development and skill building come first; where students are assessed by their participation and projects, not letter grades on testing performance,
and where each day begins with Worship, Bible, and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
If you can imagine yourself in a school like this, come help us make it a reality!
Open Teaching Positions:
K-5 Christian School Teacher
(one full-time position available)
6-10 Christian Science Teacher
(one part-time position available)
Substitute Teachers
(all grade levels)
Bus Drivers
(two positions available)
Interested candidates should submit their resume, cover letter, and a testimony of faith to [email protected], with their desired position in the subject line.

How do we prepare our children for a future shaped by AI without outsourcing the skills that matter most?
Dr. Seann Dikkers joins Nancy to explore what it means to raise discerning children as AI becomes more woven into everyday life. Together they discuss the opportunities and challenges of AI, the value of real-world learning, and practical ways parents can lead with confidence.
Before our children learn to use powerful tools, they need to learn how to think, discern, and engage with the world around them.

We are sometimes asked “Is Portals an online curriculum?” The short answer is, “No way! We love good books and great projects too much!”
BUT we DO use digital tools to bring more peace, simplicity and ease to your homeschool days!
Think of Portals as your digital teacher’s guide - a fully integrated homeschool dashboard that brings daily lesson
plans, reading assignments, project ideas, and resources together all in one, simple space.
Here’s how it works:
1. Log in to your dashboard to view the day’s lesson plans.
2. Complete the assigned booklist readings with real books, offline.
3. Explore the related (and carefully vetted!) enrichment links for deeper understanding.
3. Engage in meaningful conversation and hands-on work.
That’s it! Just simple, rich, streamlined lessons for your entire family without the stress and without the paper clutter.
Want to see it for yourself? We are offering FREE access to our lessons plans for ONE FULL YEAR to first-time users! 🎉 Comment “FirstYear” to sign up! ($250 value!)

A simple prayer for your homeschool today as many enter the last few weeks of the 2025-26 homeschool year! ❤️
Dear Lord, As the end of the school year draws near, guard our hearts from weariness. Renew our focus, patience, and clarity as we press on towards the finish line! Thank you for the gift of learning alongside our children this year... the conversations, the growth, and the moments we’ve shared! Help us persevere with grace and finish this season with intention and peace. Amen!

✨ Booklist Spotlight ✨
Sherlock Holmes I by Arthur Conan Doyle
Booklist: Leaders (High School)
Why it's on our list:
This classic detective collection strengthens critical thinking and literary analysis through engaging mysteries and clever problem-solving. As students follow Sherlock Holmes through each case, they practice observing details, evaluating evidence, and thinking logically. The stories also open the door to meaningful conversations about justice, truth, and the limits of human reason apart from God, helping students consider the difference between worldly wisdom and true wisdom rooted in Christ.
Themes we love: Logic • Justice • Reason • Truth

“My kids know exactly what to do and get right to it. The links to the extra web information are really good—and I love that we’re actually using it because I don’t have to go find it.” —Jenny, Portals Mom
One of the many unique elements of a Portals lesson is the inclusion of thoughtfully curated online enrichment resources.
Every lesson includes intentionally chosen, carefully vetted links that directly connect to assigned booklist readings, bringing them to life through videos, articles, music, photos, and more.
This media brings depth to learning, helping students visualize what they’re reading, make meaningful connections, and engage more fully with the material.
And for mom, having everything in one place removes the stress of constantly searching, reviewing, and piecing together content that engages your children and aligns with your values.
We are honored to be able to serve homeschool moms like Jenny and YOU!
