The truth is, academic success is about so much more than what takes place in the classroom. Personal experiences and trauma deeply affect how students learn, connect, and motivate themselves. Often, students who would otherwise thrive in school see their academic performance suffer as a result of what’s happening behind-the-scenes in their daily lives.
That’s why our staff is trained to understand and respond effectively to learning difficulties, social barriers, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). We believe that providing students with a safe, predictable, secure academic environment rooted in care and trust is one of the biggest ways we can partner with them for success.
Our teachers and staff are fully equipped with the tools and training to respond effectively and compassionately to any student, because how we show up matters. 🤎
