GPS would like to thank our 2022 Elmer Russell School Bell Award winners for joining us in this year's Danish Festival Dansk Parade on Saturday (8/19). Parade photo includes Robin Walter, Vice President/School Liasion for the Flat River Historial Society & Museum, and Don Bryant, a recently retired maintenance from Greenville Public Schools. A special THANK YOU to Tinney Automotive for providing a vehicle and a driver for our award recipients to participate in the parade. GPS is grateful for all individuals and organizations that continue to support our staff and students.
The 2023 winners will be announced via social media soon, and they will be invited to participate in next year's Danish Festival Parade with us!

The BH Open House was a huge success! It was so wonderful to see all the families who made it out yesterday. As we look forward to the first day of school on Aug 21, we would love to show our school pride and community support by wearing purple and gold or "Jacket Strong" apparel. This is to honor a recent GPS student who was lost and two others who are healing. We live in an amazing community and we always rally around one another when it matters most!

REMINDER - GPS is hosting a District-Wide Medication Drop Off TODAY (Thursday, August 17, 2023) at the Greenville High School - Lobby (111 N. Hillcrest Street) from 11:00am-2:00pm and 3:00-5:30pm.
GPS Staff were welcomed back this morning with a delicious breakfast served up by the GPS Food & Nutrition Team, along with a program held in the GHS Auditorium to celebrate the support of local foundations (GACF & EFG), years of service awards, and more! We are looking forward to the first day of school on Monday, August 21st!

Greenville Public Schools will be hosting a District-Wide Medication Drop Off on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Greenville High School - Lobby (111 N. Hillcrest Street) from 11:00am-2:00pm and 3:00-5:30pm. This medication drop-off is for any prescribed daily or as-needed medication to be utilized at any GPS school. All medicines dropped off must have a Permission & Request for Administration of Medication form, SIGNED by the parent AND physician, so that the medication can be administered to the student during school hours. https://www.gpsjackets.org/page/school-nurse-services

Greenville Public Schools will be performing critical network upgrades tomorrow (Friday, August 4). Due to the upgrade process, all GPS phones and ParentVUE/StudentVUE will be down for the day. Special THANK YOU to TOV Cafe for providing over 30 summer school staff members with a favorite drink of their choice this morning! This is the last week of summer school, and we are so thankful for our hard-working staff that helped provide these additional learning opportunities!
This is our last week of Meet Up and Eat Up at the Flat River Library location. They will be serving lunch from 12 - 1 pm through July 28th. We appreciate partnering with them to offer our community the summer food service program. Please visit one of our other locations offering Free breakfast and lunch through August 11.
At Baldwin Heights we are lucky enough to have some incredible support from our school family. Brooklynne Grover is a former Baldwin Heights student who has her own photography business and is doing a summer mini-session fundraiser for Baldwin Heights. The proceeds from this event goes to our school!
The time frame is from July 23-August 13; sessions are 25 minutes long and will be at Wabasis Park. There is a $25 deposit, but you can pay the rest in cash or school supplies! We are very proud of our exceptional staff, school, and students. We are fortunate to have exemplary, updated facilities and our building technology is state-of-the-art. New computers in our lab and classrooms, wireless technology throughout the building, along with projectors and telephones in every room keep students and staff on the cutting edge. These tools paired with an extensive digital video network give teachers the tools required to educate our students in the 21st Century classroom. Baldwin Heights is a great place to learn because of the efforts that transpire on a daily basis.
