Good Morning everyone!
As you may know by now, I came up short in my bid to become the representative for district 24. While I am disappointed in the outcome, Greenville county students are still the focus. Our students still need parental involvement as they journey through the educational system so stay involved if you are a parent or grandparent. Encourage others to do the same. Our children are worth it.
I am humbled by the over 5000 people who voted for me in this election. The outpouring of support from people I did not know and others I have known for many years has been heart warming. I was blessed to have my wife's support during this time and I cherish her being with me from the start. I cherish you as well.
I have congratulated my opponent Anne Pressley to wish her well in her role. She has a big task ahead of her, as does the entire board. I encourage you to work with her as we go through the next 4 years. Our students need that kind of unity.
I was asked several times if I was nervous about campaigning or winning the campaign. My answer was always no. The reason? As a man of Faith, I believe that God directs His children. I was directed to go and then He would show me what was next. So, I did go and now He will show.
