Walnut Hills Elementary

Walnut Hills Elementary Preschool - 5th Grade, offering Chinese Immersion. We currently have 410 students in our preschool - 5th grade school.

We offer a unique opportunity for any Greenville Public School student with our 50-50 Chinese Immersion program. Students in this program can continue throughout their entire GPS career and have the opportunity to graduate from GPS with a minor in Mandarin from Western Michigan University. Walnut Hills offers before and after school daycare in our Children's Corner program. This program is open every day from 6:00am-6:00pm as well as throughout the summer.

✨ Looking Beyond the Illusions ✨

During yesterday's half-day, Greenville High School students experienced Tom Coverly’s Destroy Illusions assembly! Through humor, illusions, and powerful stories, Tom challenged students to look beyond the “illusions” they face every day and recognize their own self-worth and purpose.

At the heart of his message was one powerful word: RESPECT.

🤝 Respect others
💛 Choose kindness
🌟 Make choices that positively impact those around you

It was also wonderful to have our entire GPS staff together for Tom’s inspirational message during afternoon professional development! 📚✨ Tom did an amazing job blending illusions and humor with a meaningful message that reminded us of the important role we play in our students’ lives each day.

One elementary staff member shared: “Loved the district-wide Magic Show. It actually was a talking point during our PLC data review.”

What a great reminder that meaningful messages can spark conversations that continue long after the assembly ends!

Some Things You Should Know…

ORDER NOW TO SAVE! For the fastest delivery and to avoid a shipping fee, please pre-order before Picture Day. All orders placed before Picture Day will be delivered to the school about three weeks after Picture Day. Orders placed after Picture Day will be delivered after Makeup Day. A shipping fee applies to all orders placed after Makeup Day.

Yearbooks and class composites will be delivered later in the school year.

Your child’s proof will typically be available less than a week after picture day. To view your child’s proof and place an order, log in with their Student ID number as the “access code”.

A Makeup photo will be given to students who:
-are new to the school
-were absent on Picture Day
-return their original Photo Package (blue envelope) on Makeup Day
-have a note from a parent
