The Pumpkin Patch is opening September 22! That means it's time to book your fall field trip to the nature center! We have a program for all ages that align with the MS Science Standards. Whether it's life cycles, ecosystems, or even renewable energy we have a program that will be sure to excite your students and get their bodies and minds engaged with learning. The Rising Roots Community Garden Program is looking for volunteers in Washington County, MS who believe everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy food. Whether you've never planted a seed or you've gardened for years, there's a place for you.
We'll teach you the gardening skills. What we can't teach is a heart that cares about your neighbors—and that's exactly what we're looking for.

Welcome to the sound garden made possible by the Steve Azar St. Cecilia Foundation. Since 2023 they’ve been making this space possible and it’s a visitor favorite. This year we doubled the garden space and tripled the amount of musical features. If you haven’t seen it come see us this fall and enjoy this fun, educational, and beautiful space.

Welcome to the Mississippi Delta Nature and Learning Center home to the Heart and Soul Children's Garden, Boundless Adventures Course, Rising Roots Youth Farm, and Blues Bend Trail System. We're working to care for the earth and the people who live here.

The Heart and Soul Children's Garden is for ages 1-12 that encourages open ended play, critical thinking, respectful engagement with the natural world, and information about food production and ecosystems.

The Boundless Adventures Course is an obstacle course, that is great for all ages to increase balance, strength, and coordination. We offer a facilitated team building experience to strength teams connection and trust.

The Heart and Soul Children's Garden and Boundless Adventures Course are open Tuesday-Saturday 9:00-5:00 and $5 admission will give you access to all the areas plus an art project that changes each month. If you'd like to purchase a membership admission is free to these venues. We offer hands on science field trips for grades PreK-12 more information is available online at www.msdeltanature.org.

The Rising Roots Youth Farm engages youth in food production, the past, present and future of our food system, and regular opportunities to serve in the community. Seasonal produce is available for purchase. Sign up for our newsletter at www.msdeltanature.org or follow us to get regular updates on what we have available.

The Blues Bend Trail System is a 1/2 mile and 1 mile loop through wildflower meadows and wooded areas. Adjacent to the trail is the Seeds of Freedom Pavilion where you can learn about important milestones in food production and food justice in the Mississippi Delta and The Delta Heritage Garden highlighting cultures that have contributed to the local food scene in our community. All of these are are free to the public and open dawn to dusk daily.

There's a summer camp, Easter Egg Hunt, Pumpkin Patch, Haunted Trail, and Christmas Trail. We have sponsorship opportunities to help us continue our work and welcome volunteers to get involved.
