All Greenville County Schools students are eligible for a free ticket to attend the sixth annual Health Careers Night at the Greenville Drive on Wednesday, April 20th.

Bring your family to the ballpark to learn about health courses and certifications offered in Greenville County Schools and follow the pathway that could lead to Greenville Tech, a four year college degree, medical school or a fulfilling career in nursing, athletic training, nutrition, medicine, radiology and much more.

Another fantastic session of the Pediatric Youth Immersion Camp of the Upstate. Students were able to ask questions to a panel of medical students and residents. They also observed a presentation on the nervous system and sports medicine. They got to practice suturing, splinting, and ultra sounding tendons and bones.

Join us in congratulating our mentor, supporter, and community partner from the Prisma Health Upstate HSCC, Dr. Christen Hairston, on winning a Prisma Health Woman of Impact Award. She has been an advocate for the students in our Carolina Health Academy for many years and has impacted the lives of many of our students along their path to a career in Healthcare. Congrats and much deserved!

Pediatric Youth Immersion Camp of the Upstate - thank you Prisma!!

Students met virtually with a pediatrician, toured the pediatric floor, observed mock rounds, learned heart anatomy from a medical student, read ekgs, did heart ultrasounds with a Peds attending, took blood pressures, and practiced doing physical exams. All in one day!!!

What better way to spend a day of your Spring Break than learning from doctors and medical students at the USC School of Medicine Greenville!?!! 12 dedicated Carolina students were selected to participate in the first ever Pediatric Youth Immersion Camp of the Upstate! Thank you to our community partners for your continued support of our students and these amazing educational opportunities!

Sophomores in Ms. Driggers Human Body Systems class learned about different vision disorders this week using eye models! Did you know the eye actually sees images upside down, but our brain flips them?

Juniors in Ms. Driggers Medical Interventions class got to simulate being dispatchers and practice running 911 calls. Greenville County EMS does it again - another exciting class! We love our EMS days!
