Students in Mrs. Carter's English 1 Honors classes conducted rousing debates this week, with the Pro side arguing that “Selfishness is the most important characteristic for surviving a crisis,” while the Con side maintained that “Selfishness is not the key factor for survival.”

Debate teams worked collaboratively to develop opening arguments, constructive speeches supported by reasons and evidence, rebuttals, and closing arguments. Mrs. Carter coached students through thinking critically, responding to opposing viewpoints, and working together to build persuasive arguments. Priceless life skills for all! 💚🦉
