Last week, we had the honor of celebrating some very special visitors during our Senior Clap Out! 🎓🐾

These high school seniors from the Class of 2026 once walked the halls of Cherrydale Elementary, and last week they returned to celebrate all they have accomplished since leaving our school. Our students and staff loved cheering them on as they made their way through the halls one more time as proud Cherrydale Panthers.

We are so proud of each and every one of them and are excited to see all the amazing things their futures hold. No matter where life takes them, they will always have a home at Cherrydale Elementary. 💙

We hope our current students look up to these graduates as inspiration to work hard, stay the course, and never stop believing in themselves. Once a Panther, always a Panther! 🐾🎉

Congratulations to our very own Mrs. Hannah Thompson on being recognized with the 2026 SCPTA PTA Board Member Commitment Award! 🎉🐾

Mrs. Thompson’s leadership and dedication have helped grow volunteerism, strengthen community partnerships, and create meaningful opportunities for our students and staff at Cherrydale Elementary. From the success of our Spring Carnival, which helped fund student soccer scholarships and teacher grants, to the countless hours she spends supporting classrooms and families, her impact can be felt throughout our entire school community.

Under her guidance, Cherrydale also earned the Greenville County Schools 100% Teacher Membership Award — a true reflection of her commitment to building a positive, thriving school environment.

Thank you, Mrs. Thompson, for all you do to support the students, staff, and families of Cherrydale Elementary School. We are so lucky to have you as part of our Panther family! 💙🧡

This week, we celebrated our AMAZING teachers at Cherrydale Elementary School all week long, and we are so thankful for everyone who helped make it so special! 💙🐾

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible for always supporting and spoiling our staff!

Monday, our staff started the week off with a delicious breakfast from Eggs Up Grill. 🍳

Tuesday, teachers enjoyed yummy scones from Swamp Rabbit Cafe & Grocery and amazing coffee from Panera Bread. ☕🥐

Wednesday, our PTA treated teachers to a beautiful bouquet station where staff members were able to create their own flower bouquets! 🌸💐 Some lucky teachers who found the hidden Cherrydale Panther around the school also received gift cards! 🐾

Thursday, teachers enjoyed a duty-free lunch and a delicious meal from Chick-fil-A. ❤️ Staff members were also treated to a fun bag of sauces and goodies from Sauer Brands!

Friday wrapped up the week with another fun blind book date and a refreshing hydration station sponsored by our PTA! 📚🧃

Thank you again to everyone who helped make our teachers feel loved, appreciated, and celebrated this week. We truly have the BEST staff, families, and community at Cherrydale! 💙🐾

Our very own Cherrydale Panthers brought home the WIN at the Super Soccer Stars Tournament! 🎉

After playing several round robin games all morning, our team worked hard, showed incredible teamwork, and scored the most goals to come out on top! 💪⚽️

We are SO proud of their effort, sportsmanship, and determination. They truly represented Cherrydale in the best way possible! 🐾💙

Mr. Terrell Brown, our incredible RTI teacher here at Cherrydale Elementary and president of the Greenville County Education Association (GCEA), has been named the South Carolina Education Association’s 2026 Teacher of the Year!

Mr. Brown will represent South Carolina at the NEA Foundation’s 2026 Teaching Excellence Awards in Washington, D.C. — an amazing and well-deserved honor. His dedication to students, advocacy, and leadership makes a lasting impact both in our school and beyond.

Field Day fun at Cherrydale! ☀️🎉

A HUGE thank you to Ms. Daulton for organizing an amazing day full of exciting games and a smooth schedule that kept everything running perfectly!

There was tons of bouncing, lots of laughter, and incredible teamwork all around. Our Panthers showed great sportsmanship and had an absolute blast from start to finish! 💙🐾

We are so proud of our students and grateful for days like these that bring our school community together!

We had an amazing time at our Breakfast & Learn with our 2nd grade students and their families! 🥞✨ Together, we explored the world of graphing—learning how to collect data, organize it, and bring it to life in a fun and meaningful way.

One of the highlights was our hands-on graphing activity using fruit snacks 🍎🍇🍊—a sweet way to practice math skills while working together! It was so special to see students and parents collaborating, learning, and having fun side by side.

We are so grateful for Mr. West and the incredible impact he has made as part of the Cherrydale family. In such a short time, he has truly become an integral part of our school community.

Mr. West leads with heart, always putting students first and taking the time to build meaningful relationships with those around him. His genuine care, positive presence, and commitment to supporting both students and staff do not go unnoticed.

Each day, he invests in making Cherrydale a better place—whether he’s encouraging students, supporting teachers, or stepping in wherever he’s needed.

🎉🐾 Cherrydale Panthers Shine at the ASCE Bridge Event! 🐾🎉

We are so proud of our incredible 4th grade students and our amazing Challenge Teacher, Dr. Janakiranman, for their outstanding performance at this year’s ASCE Bridge Event!

Out of 55 schools and 381 bridges, our students stood out with their creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills 💡

🏆 Highlights:
• 2 out of 3 teams placed in the Top 100 for efficiency
• Nuclear Radiation earned 50th place
• Ancient Gold Hunt earned 56th place
• Our very own Cherrydale Monarchs team took home 🥈 2nd place in Most Original Design!

These accomplishments showcase not only strong building skills, but also problem-solving, perseverance, and innovative thinking—true hallmarks of future engineers!

We are beyond proud of our students and thankful for Dr. Janakiranman’s leadership in guiding them to success. 💙💛

The Carnival is Friday, April 10th at 5:30pm. You won't want to miss this night of family fun--inflatables that touch the sky, face painting, fairy hair, balloon artists, games, food, and more! 🎡🎟️
