Day 4 of Elevate Week started with Betsy Shuler, Madison Siekman, and Kerry Pilkey presenting to the staff on Professional Learning Communities. They led us through the stages of a PLC and gave us time to collaborate , reflect, and analyze where we are as a staff. We are so thankful to have such strong teacher leaders at AES and can’t wait to strengthen our PLCs!

Dr. Ho**er wrapped up the morning with a session on trajectory changing schools. We identified the most important characteristics of schools like ours that are changing lives! It was such a great way to wrap up our week!

We are energized and ready for another successful year at AES! 🦅

Day 3 of Elevate week was focused on elevating our math and writing instruction with Stacey Shamis and Thomas McAuliff. We dug into the district resources and had some fun with team building too! 🦅

AES teachers and staff have been busy learning and ELEVATING their teaching skills this week!

Day 1: This training, led by James ONeal, was all about creating an equitable and positive classroom culture that is rich in meaningful, student led conversations.

Day 2: This training, led by our mental health counselor, Candin Phillips took teachers through a deep dive into ADHD and specific strategies they can use in their classrooms to help students succeed.

We look forward to Days 3 and 4 as we continue to grow and ELEVATE our students’ academic success!
