Labor Day honors the dedication and achievements of America’s workforce. First celebrated in 1882 by labor activists fighting for fair wages, safer conditions, and reasonable hours, it became a national holiday in 1894.
Today, we recognize the contributions of people nationwide and continue our work at Carolina Literacy Project to ensure multilingual children gain the literacy skills they need to become tomorrow’s professionals, community members, and leaders.

We had fun celebrating National Nonprofit Day last night at the Greenville County Council meeting. Thank you to County Councilor Liz Seman, Greenville County Council and Greater Good Greenville for their help in recognizing the work of nonprofits in Greenville!

Last week campers learned about theater. We also celebrated our last day of summer camp. Thank you for a great summer! We hope everyone has a great school year!

This week our campers were visited by Hoops University, Project Host, IMAGINE on the move, and Roper Mountain Science Center. They learned about animals living on our coastline, the fundamentals of basketball, how to cook, how to make and launch rockets, and many more science activities!
