Congratulations to senior, Addison Hogsten, on an incredible achievement! 🎉 Addison has been accepted into the highly selective College of Medicine’s Professional Education Preparation Program (PEPP) and the prestigious Lewis Honors College at the University of Kentucky—a true testament to her hard work, leadership, and dedication.
Addison plans to attend UK this fall, majoring in Public Health with the goal of continuing on to medical school. Throughout her high school career, she has demonstrated outstanding commitment both in and out of the classroom. She currently serves as HOSA President and is a regional champion & two-time HOSA state competitor. In addition, Addison has been actively involved in numerous organizations, including serving as President of Student Council, FCA, FBLA, Youth Leadership, Young Women’s Lead, KYSCA (Executive Council and Social Media/Marketing Director), and Rho Kappa.
Academically, Addison has challenged herself through dual credit and health science coursework at GCATC/GCHS. She is CPR certified, MNA certified, and will soon sit for her Phlebotomy and Pharmacy Technician certifications in early May—continuing to build an impressive foundation for her future in healthcare.
Outside of academics, Addison has been a dedicated member of the Greenup County Varsity Cheerleading Squad for five years, earning an incredible list of accomplishments: 2-time state champion, 4-time world champion, and national champion.
Addison’s acceptance into both PEPP and the Lewis Honors College highlights her as one of the top students in the region, and we cannot wait to see all she accomplishes in the future. We are so proud of you Addi!
