2026 Football Cheer Kid Camp


The EHS Cheerleaders would like to welcome all elementary students K-5th to participate in this year’s Kid Cheer Camp Friday September 4th 2026 at the varsity home football game. The students will need to attend practice Thursday September 3rd from 5pm-6pm in the Main Gym of the High School to learn what they will be doing during halftime of the game Friday! Your student will then need to be at the west side of the football field in the grass area with 2 minutes left of the second quarter. They will participate with the EHS/EMS Cheerleaders for a halftime performance! After the performance please meet at the east end of the field to pick up your child. Please fill out the form below attached with a payment of $30. Please have a form filled out and money sent back to school or the elementary office by Friday August 20th 2026. Cash is preferred but if you need to write a check please make it out to Eastern High School.

We will be doing our Alternate dismissal after school tonight, August 12, 2026, due to the current weather conditions. If there is a break in the weather, we will bring everyone out.

Again, if you have your child's name on a sign (on the dashboard or in the window of your car) we can call for them and make the process quicker.

Thank you again for your cooperation and patience during these types of situations that cause us to change our procedures to help ensure we have a safe dismissal.

HELP WANTED: ARK BUILDER
Previous experience preferred, but desperation will substitute for certification.
Must work in heavy rain, navigate around ducks, and enjoys the sounds of the cafeteria at mid-day.
“Noah” applicants are encouraged, but the name is not required.
Animals are already on site (I am not referring to the kids).�
Bring lumber—and buckets, squeegee, towels, sponge, and a pancho.

What a great first day of school! It is so good to have our Comets in the the building! You might hear a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Grader tell you, "This is MY school."

Don't forget about Back To School Night! This evening from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. you can bring in you supplies, find your classroom and locker, and meet your teacher. We hope you take advantage of this time to come in and do a meet and greet with the teacher. This is not the time for a parent-teacher conference. Teachers will have information for you and possible classroom sign up sheets, including Parent-Teacher Conference times for October.

Doors will open at 4:50. We will not release you to the rooms until 5:00. So, no need to arrive early. Thank you.

Thank you so much to the Greentown Farmers Market & everyone who donated supplies this weekend.

We are in the office the rest of the week 8AM-3PM and will be here Monday if you’d like to come in and take advantage of all the supplies that have been donated.
