Today we made Rainbow Fish to go along with our story this week. I’m sure you’ll find blue frosting on your kiddos somewhere, even it’s their tongue, but we sure enjoyed it 🙂

This is such a happy group! We ended on a high note today with lots of compliments from other staff members in the building. And for Food Friday we made school buses to go with our story this week, The Little School Bus.

I’m so proud of our class for persevering through their first 2 weeks of kindergarten. New friends, new school, new teacher, new rules, new germs, lots of stormy days, etc. But we did it! We’re going to do great things this year 🙂.

We had our first Food Friday today and made Friendship Salad. We talked about how our classroom is like a bowl. Kindness, love, listening, helping, making good choices, and sharing are like the sweet fruits we put in it. Unkind words, not sharing, etc. would be like adding a rotten banana into the salad. We decided we didn’t want that 🙂.

Our class is having so much fun learning what kindergarten is all about. I’m so proud of these kids for going from slow summer days with unlimited snacks, to a long 7 hour day in a brand new place with lots of things happening.
