Last week and this week at the Child Development Center, we have been learning about art and music. Today we talked about how we can't actually see music - there is nothing to look at when music comes out of our speakers or instruments. We can, however, make art in ways that represent how music makes us feel. Some people paint, sculpt, create, or dance. Today we listened to three different songs that made us feel different ways. With each new song, we danced in a different paint color. The paint that was left behind from our feet was our way to "see" the music. "Children learn by doing, and doing is noisy, untidy, messy, and unpredictable" (Maggie Dent). We are so grateful to our parents for supporting us in our love of the noisy and messy!
