This Friday, October 16, our Counseling Center is hosting its third annual Fresh Check Day! In partnership with 16 student organizations and 4 local partners, this event brings current students together to explore mental health topics and resources through fun, interactive, peer-led activities.

Stop by for free food, music, and more! Plus, the first 200 students will receive a free SHU beanie! 🎉

What does the red sand mean? 🔴

Yesterday, Intro to Criminal Justice students partnered with the Blackburn Center for the Red Sand Project as they wrapped up their unit on human trafficking.

The red sand is placed in sidewalk cracks to represent people who can too often fall through the cracks, helping raise awareness of human trafficking and exploitation.
