Mr. Davenport met with the first recipients of our Dragon Ember Initiative to congratulate them for taking the extra step! Students earned Embers for acts of kindness and service - from helping teachers, welcoming new students and helping opposing players up off the field.

Our goal is to turn these small Embers into a blaze of kindness and service throughout our school, district, and community! 🔥🐉

If you have a student at GCMS, please check with them to see if they received one of these forms. If they did, that means their FRAM form needs to be completed online! If you do not wish to provide income information, just leave that part blank. However we do need the forms completed by all families. This sheet will give you instructions on how to get that completed.

Dragon Embers: Igniting a Culture of Kindness, Positivity, and Inclusion

One kind word or helpful action is like a single glowing ember. On its own, it’s small. Together, thousands of embers create a warm, welcoming environment—a true community. That's what we are trying to create with Dragon Embers. Dragon Embers are designed to spark a positive cultural shift from the inside out. By intentionally catching and recognizing moments of high character, empathy, and inclusion, we turn individual positive choices into community-wide momentum. We are empowering students to realize that their daily character has the power to light up someone else’s world and change the entire climate of our school.

Students going above and beyond to show kindness, positivity, overall good character, and making our school a better, more welcoming place can earn a Dragon Ember from one of our staff members. Students can then cash in their Ember for a free drink or snack for Break Monday-Thursday or on Friday for a phone pass during lunch.

An Ember isn't just a token; it's a reminder that your kindness made our school a brighter place today.
