We are continuing with the theme of Securing the Bag and will have a guest speaker, Mrs. Katerra Wiggins, Class of 2010, Manager of Merchandise Planning at Hanesbrand, Inc. We will also discuss upcoming advising and registration.

FCS 151 Food Prep/Meal Management Lab Week 2: Deconstructed Minestrone Soup and Cheese Bread.

On January 20, 2022, Dr. Silva and the following Graduate Students: Rycal Blount, Niaz Mahmud, Joinul Islam, Jabarius Jones, and Jannatul Ferdaus, participated in the IFT Dogwood Suppliers Expo at Grandover Resort, Greensboro, NC.

The USDA 1890 National Scholars Program offers scholarships to U.S. citizens who are seeking a bachelor's degree at one of the nineteen 1890 Land-Grant Universities in the field of agriculture, food, natural resource sciences or other related disciplines.

The Child Development Lab celebrated Winter Wishes with the students. Every student received gifts for the holidays from faculty and staff in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

The FCS Faculty and Staff celebrated 2021 FCS Day "FCS Ties it All Together" on December 3rd. We decorated aprons with the theme FCS. The apron has long been a symbol of generosity and hospitality! One of its most noteworthy qualities is helpfulness. Like the apron, Family and Consumer Sciences professionals "give generously" to the individuals, families, and communities that they serve and are some of the most hospitable individuals!

The Fashion Merchandising and Design Showcase was on November 12th. What a wonderful event!

The Visual Merchandising and Promotion windows are always eye catching!

FCS 281 Apparel Construction and Evaluation class has been busy this semester building their apparel construction skills. You can see them applying the final steps to complete the construction on a button-down shirt. They have made so much progress this semester!!!
