What a strong second week here at Southeast Guilford High School! Our Falcons hit the ground running, classrooms are buzzing, routines are clicking into place, and the energy across campus has been fantastic. Thank you to our students, staff, and families for the great start to the year. Here's to keeping that momentum going into Week 3!

Technology Update
GCS is transitioning its technology facility to a new location during the Labor Day holiday. GCS websites and systems will be offline, which means that employees and students will not be able to access their email or other documents. If you send a message to a staff member, please know that it will not be received until after technology service has been restored. Thank you for your patience and have a good evening.
Senior Night
September 15 – Senior Night in the Auditorium “ALL Things Senior Year” Parents/Guardians and Class of 2026 PLEASE attend! (meet with guests that can help you through senior year from 5:30pm-6:15pm in the front hall and there will be a senior meeting in the auditorium from 6:15pm to 7:00pm)
College and Career Fair
September 28 – NC College Fair at the Greensboro Coliseum 5:30-7:30pm; it’s never too early to see what your options are, more than just 4-year colleges.
SENIOR PORTRAIT MAKEUP OPPORTUNITY
Missed the first CADY Senior Portrait Roadshow? Students will have the opportunity to take their formal yearbook portrait, along with additional senior poses and backgrounds.

Sitting Fee: $29
Please remember that all senior portraits must be taken by CADY in order to be featured in the yearbook. The sitting fee is applied toward any CADY photo package purchased after your session. While purchasing photos is completely optional, the sitting fee for the Oct/Nov sessions is not. For seniors who do not plan to purchase photos, CADY will offer a free yearbook-only session in December. This session will include only the required formal tuxedo/drape yearbook portrait. The exact date is still TBD, and additional details will be shared once finalized. Another makeup session will be offered on November 21, 2026. Bookings for this date will not open until after the October 16 session.

¡Qué semana tan fuerte aquí en Southeast Guilford High School! Nuestros Halcones comenzaron con mucha energía, los salones están llenos de actividad, las rutinas se están estableciendo y la energía en todo el campus ha sido fantástica. Actualización de Tecnología
GCS está trasladando su instalación de tecnología a una nueva ubicación durante el feriado del Día del Trabajo (Labor Day). Los sitios web y sistemas de GCS estarán fuera de línea, lo que significa que los empleados y estudiantes no podrán acceder a su correo electrónico ni a otros documentos. Noche de Seniors (Senior Night)
15 de septiembre – Noche de Seniors en el Auditorio, "TODO sobre el último año" (ALL Things Senior Year). ¡Padres/Tutores y la Clase de 2026, por favor asistan! (Reúnanse con invitados que pueden ayudarles a lo largo del último año, de 5:30pm a 6:15pm en el vestíbulo principal, y luego habrá una reunión de seniors en el auditorio de 6:15pm a 7:00pm)
Feria de Universidades y Carreras
28 de septiembre – Feria de Universidades de NC (NC College Fair) en el Greensboro Coliseum, de 5:30 a 7:30pm; nunca es demasiado temprano para ver sus opciones, que van más allá de las universidades de 4 años.
OPORTUNIDAD DE RETOMA DE RETRATOS DE SENIORS
¿Se perdió la primera sesión itinerante de Retratos de Seniors de CADY (CADY Senior Portrait Roadshow)? Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de tomarse su retrato formal para el anuario, junto con poses adicionales de senior y fondos.

Recuerden que todos los retratos de seniors deben ser tomados por CADY para poder aparecer en el anuario. La cuota de sesión se aplica a cualquier paquete de fotos de CADY que se compre después de la sesión. Aunque comprar fotos es completamente opcional, la cuota de sesión para las sesiones de octubre/noviembre no lo es. Para los seniors que no planean comprar fotos, CADY ofrecerá una sesión gratuita solo para el anuario en diciembre. Esta sesión incluirá únicamente el retrato formal requerido con toga/esmoquin para el anuario. La fecha exacta aún está por confirmarse (TBD), y se compartirán más detalles cuando se finalicen. Se ofrecerá otra sesión de retoma el 21 de noviembre de 2026. Las reservas para esta fecha no se abrirán hasta después de la sesión del 16 de octubre.
