We need your input, Greene County! 📣

The UGA Archway Partnership is coming to Greene County, and we want to hear directly from YOU. What matters most to your community? What opportunities and challenges do you see? Your voice will help shape the priorities we focus on together in the years ahead.

We're hosting multiple listening sessions across different days and locations and hope you can join us for a session below:

📅 August 13, 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Lakeside Church
📅 August 17, 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Festival Hall
📅 August 19, 8:30 a.m., White Plains Community Center
📅 August 19, 5:30 p.m., Union Point Community Center
📅 August 20, 9:00 a.m., Greene County Senior Center
📅 August 20, 6:00 p.m., Greene County Board of Education

Hey families,

What would make Greene County a better place to live?

• More (good-paying) jobs?
• More opportunities for young people?
• Stronger local businesses?
• Better parks and recreation options?
• Affordable housing?
• Better healthcare?
• A stronger sense of community?

Please plan on joining in on at least one of these upcoming listening sessions to make sure that your voice is heard through the Greene County Archway Partnership!

We know sometimes you might wonder whether your opinion really matters, but that is EXACTLY why this is so important! We need you (and your cousins too)! Whether you've lived here your whole life or just moved to Greene County, your perspective is valuable.

Start by taking the community survey, then join us at one of the upcoming listening sessions. The survey and these conversations will help identify the priorities that local leaders, community partners, and the Greene County Archway Partnership (in collaboration with the University of Georgia Archway Partnership) will work on together over the coming years.

La próxima vez que vean a estas personas por la ciudad, ¡por favor agradézcanles mucho por la labor que realizaron entre bastidores para organizar nuestra fiesta de regreso a clases (*Back to School Bash*)!

Un enorme agradecimiento a:
– Love Beir (también conocida como la Sra. Erica) por preparar las mochilas y por ser simplemente maravillosa
– Al capítulo Iota Psi Omega de la hermandad Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. por preparar más de 1.000 mochilas
– A Mitzi Sánchez y su maravillosa familia por preparar mochilas
– A Chris Williams y al Sr. Tommy, de la escuela secundaria Greene County High School, por TODO
– A T Force Freight

Hello families!

The next time you see these people around town, please give them a big thank you for the part they played behind the scenes with putting on our Back to School Bash!

A big thanks to:
– Love Beir (aka Ms. Erica) for packing bookbags and just being wonderful
– Iota Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. for packing over 1,000 bookbags
–Mitzi Sanchez and her wonderful family for packing bookbags
–Chris Williams and Mr. Tommy at Greene County High School for EVERYTHING
–T Force Freight
–Nicole Chilemi from Festival Hall for packing supplies, setting up chairs, and volunteering the day of
–Brittney Burden from Mainstreet Greensboro for organizing vendors, setting up chairs, and generally being awesome
–Beth Clifton from Greene County Elementary School for getting the food trucks
–Greene County High School Girls Volleyball for watching the bounce house
–Emily McClure for designing the incredible flyers

¡Muchas gracias por asistir a nuestra fiesta de regreso a clases el viernes pasado! Esperamos que hayan conseguido los materiales que necesitaban y que estén listos para un año increíble.

¡Gracias a los vendedores, al personal de la escuela secundaria (especialmente al Sr. Chris, al Sr. Tommy y al equipo de mantenimiento), a la ciudad de Greensboro y a tantos otros colaboradores y líderes comunitarios por ayudarnos a organizar este evento!

Hello Families,

Thank you so much for attending our Back to School Bash this past Friday! We hope that you all got the supplies that you need and are ready for an incredible year!

Thank you to our vendors, the high school staff (especially Mr. Chris, Mr Tommy, and the custodial staff), the City of Greensboro, and so many other partners and community leaders for helping us pull this together!
