✨ Happy Principal Appreciation Day! ✨
This year, our students took the lead in celebrating our incredible principal, Ms. Ingram, by hosting a special Student-Led Awards Ceremony in her honor!
Each grade level had the opportunity to recognize the unique and lasting impact she has made on their journey—highlighting her leadership, care, and dedication to every student in our building.
Our Houses also showed up strong! ❤️💙💚🖤
From Amistad’s heart, Reveur’s vision, Isibindi’s courage, to Altruismo’s selflessness, Ms. Ingram was celebrated for embodying the very best of each House.
Your leadership continues to inspire, uplift, and shape the future of every Jaguar you serve. 🐆💚
We appreciate you today and every day, Ms. Ingram! 💐

On Wednesday, our Joyner Jaguars got to enjoy a special treat! The Page High School Drama department paid us a special visit to put on an awesome performance! The high school students wrote, practiced, and performed an original show! It's called, "Wish it Wasn't Winter" which was all about how animals prepare for the winter in various (and often funny when viewed through a human lens!) ways. Our Jaguars were deeply impressed by the "big kids", and the high schoolers hopefully got to feel like rock stars as the elementary kiddos oooh'ed, ahhh'ed, gasped, and cheered their way through the show.
Thank you so much, Page Pirates! You guys were such an inspiration! 😊 🎭

A big THANK YOU to all of our volunteers and presenters who took the time to pour into our students and share their knowledge and experiences. Your impact means more than you know!
A special thank you to our amazing PTA for sponsoring and providing light refreshments for our volunteers, we truly appreciate your continued support in making events like this possible!
We are so proud of our students for their participation, thoughtful questions, and enthusiasm throughout the day. And of course, shoutout to those who dressed up and represented their future careers, y’all earned those House Points! 💙❤️🖤💚

We wanted to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to our Joyner Jaguar stars! For weeks, they have been working so hard on our first ever musical! Our Joyner Jaguars performed an original rendition of the Wizard of Oz/The Wiz written and produced by our very own, Principal Ingram and 5th grade Teacher, Ms. Smoot and assisted by our amazing staff Ms. Henriquez, Mrs. Stillwell, Mrs. Rone, Mrs. Casas, Ms. Gillespie, Ms. Foster. and Ms. Magana. From design, step team, dancers, singers, and actors, our Jaguars have done it all. We are so proud of all of your hard work! Thank you to all of the students, staff members, and families who helped bring the vision to life.
Special thanks to our community and school MC's Ivey Ghee, Walter Johnson, and Ms. D. McLean and community supporters who donated to the initiative. We truly appreciate you. 😊

Today, our 5th grade boys had an incredible opportunity to be inspired by some amazing young leaders from North Carolina A&T State University! 💙💛
We were honored to welcome Ajani Davis, author of GEMS, along with volunteers Khaleed Muhammad, Kobe Miles, and Dylan Tidmore, who spent time reading and connecting with our students.
During the visit, students engaged in a meaningful activity where they explored their own “superpowers”thinking about the unique qualities that make them special and how they can use those strengths to make a positive impact in the world.
This experience was not only inspiring, but also empowering for our young leaders as they continue to grow into confident, capable individuals. We are so grateful to them for pouring into our students and leaving them with a message they will carry with them far beyond the classroom!

Happy Read Across America Week!
Our students in Kinder and First Grade enjoyed a special treat in celebration of Read Across America Week. Volunteers from the Huntington Learning Center, a leading provider of tutoring and test prep programs, came to offer a special story time experience.
The Huntington Learning Center is a premier, nationwide tutoring and test preparation franchise founded in 1977 that provides personalized academic support for K-12 students. They offer in-person and online instruction in reading, writing, math, science, and study skills, as well as specialized prep for the SAT, ACT, and other exams. Certified tutors provide individualized, one-on-one or small-group instruction to build academic skills and confidence. We are honored that these educators reached out to partner with us to celebrate Read Across America week with some of our youngest students!
Thank you so much for coming to visit with us, Ms. Vaughan and Ms. Golden! The students had a wonderful time, and now Mrs. Queen can't keep the books you read to them on the library shelves.
Happy reading, Joyner Jaguars!
