School of Art and IARC faculty showed up to wish Teddy a happy retirement and to thank him for his years of hard work, care, and commitment to maintaining the Gatewood studio arts building and our many studio spaces. We will miss you Teddy but we’re happy to hear your retirement plans; slow down!, spend more time with your wife, mow the lawn-slowly, hang with your 13 goats and other animals, and enjoy life.

Congratulations to ART Photography Faculty; Leah Sobsey on her Carnegie Mellon Posner Fellowship for Research and Creative Practice award. She and her creative collaborator; Amanda Marchand will be launching their new project Understory in collaboration with the New York Botanical Garden at the AIPAD Photography Show in New York with Rick Wester Fine Art, in Booth C13 from April 22nd-26th.

Join the School of Art for the annual Iron Pour!

The UNCG School of Art's Annual🔥 Iron Pour 🔥will be held April 25 starting at noon with the iron pour from 3-6pm in the foundry yard of the Gatewood Building.

It will be a day full of activities and events: Art sales, scratch blocks, merchandise for purchase. Demonstrations from current students and alumni across all disciplines—including animation 🐹, ceramics🏺, photography📷, print 🧑‍🎨, and art education🎨.

Attendance is FREE and open to the public so come out and bring a friend - or two!
Bring cash to purchase art or to create your own masterpiece.
