The School of Dance is honored to host "A Loving Tribute" to John Gamble, late Professor Emeritus, on July 9 at 11 am. The memorial will be held in the Dance Theater in the Coleman building on UNCG's campus, and will also be live-streamed at youtube.com/uncgdance.

Join us in celebrating John's life and legacy.


Please mark your calendars for "John Gamble, A Loving Tribute" on July 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Dance Theater on UNCG's campus. The Dance Theater is located in the Coleman Building, 1408 Walker Ave. in Greensboro. Parking is available in the Walker Parking Deck, directly across the street from Coleman.

It's MFA Thesis week here at UNCG Dance! As we put the final touches on Friday night's show, we want to introduce you to the choreographers. First up: Billy J. Hawkains III. A dancer, choreographer, dance filmmaker, and faith-based writer, Billy's film "BY FIRE" encourages us to explore the ideas of surrender and sovereignty at the intersection of identity and religion.

You can catch "BY FIRE" and the rest of the MFA Thesis concert on Friday, March 19 at 8pm. Tickets are on sale at: go.uncg.edu/dancetix.

THIS WEEKEND! A Virtual Performance of "Which Way Is Up?" February 14 @ 3pm at Greensboro Project Space


The Clarice Young Project celebrates Black History Month by looking at different ways blackness presents itself in spaces. We are multifaceted and dynamic. We have cultures within cultures. This performance is about unveiling some of those layers which help us survive, thrive and find joy.

* Due to covid-19 safety precautions this performance will be pre-recorded with a limited audience at an earlier date.

This performance is supported by the N.C. Arts Council, A Division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, The Arts Council of Winston-Salem, and Forsyth County, and ArtsGreensboro.
