❤️🖤 Community Taking Care of Community ❤️🖤

A heartfelt thank you to Oak Ridge Bagels & Deli and Gusto Pizzeria for generously providing lunch for our entire NWGMS Staff this week.

During an incredibly difficult time for our Viking community, their generosity allowed our teachers and staff to have a duty-free lunch together - giving them time and space to sit with one another, reflect, and support each other as our school community grieves.

Sometimes taking care of a community simply means taking care of the people beside you. We are incredibly grateful to these local businesses for showing up for our NWGMS family when it matters most.

Thank you, Oak Ridge Bagels & Deli and Gusto Pizzeria, for helping us take care of the people who spend every day taking care of our Vikings. ❤️🖤

Hundreds gathered at Northwest High School to remember 13-year-old Caden Sorrell, a beloved football player whose impact continues to be felt in the community.

Our hearts are with the family, friends, classmates, teachers, and all those in our Northwest community grieving the loss of one of our Vikings. ❤️🖤

A memorial space has been created on campus at the Rock for anyone who would like to leave flowers, a note, or another expression of love and remembrance.

There are no right words for a loss like this. We simply want our community to know that this space is there for anyone who wishes to honor and remember a very special member of our Viking family.

Please continue to keep Caden Sorrell’s family and all those who loved him in your thoughts and prayers.

A double rainbow over our school at the end of the very first week… 🌈🌈 I think we found the pot of gold. 💛

Feeling pretty lucky to be right here, with these students, this staff, and this school community. If this is a sign of what’s to come, I’d say we’re in for a pretty special year. ✨🍀
