Guilford County Schools celebrate the power of literacy - The Carolina Peacemaker From March 9 to 13, community leaders and educators joined forces at elementary schools throughout the district to spark a lifelong passion for literacy and self-empowerment.

As JTSE enters its fifth anniversary year, we are expanding our editorial team and review capacity. These roles will help support the editorial process, strengthen the peer review community, and maintain the quality and accessibility of published articles. See position descriptions in the flyer. CALL FOR PROPOSALS: The journal, "Dear Higher Education: Letter from the Social Justice Mountain," in partnership with the University of Minnesota Libraries and scholars Dr. Menah Pratt, Dr. Michele C. Deramo, and Dr. Gabriela Torres, is issuing a CFP for a Special Issue on Women of Color in the Academy: Being the Lonely Only.

They invite letters that speak to the experiences of:
*Navigating multigenerational caregiving while building a career.
*Journeying through migrations of geography, identity, and belonging.
*Rising with brilliance yet often defined by others as "less, under, micro."
*Wrestling with imposter syndrome, only to realize the system was built to cast shadows, not reflect light.
*Feeling the burden of a salary differential wrapped in politeness and policy.
*Being the “outsider” who stays or eventually leaves
*Balancing speaking out and being silent
