CALL FOR PROPOSALS: The journal, "Dear Higher Education: Letter from the Social Justice Mountain," in partnership with the University of Minnesota Libraries and scholars Dr. Menah Pratt, Dr. Michele C. Deramo, and Dr. Gabriela Torres, is issuing a CFP for a Special Issue on Women of Color in the Academy: Being the Lonely Only.
They invite letters that speak to the experiences of:
*Navigating multigenerational caregiving while building a career.
*Journeying through migrations of geography, identity, and belonging.
*Rising with brilliance yet often defined by others as "less, under, micro."
*Wrestling with imposter syndrome, only to realize the system was built to cast shadows, not reflect light.
*Feeling the burden of a salary differential wrapped in politeness and policy.
*Being the “outsider” who stays or eventually leaves
*Balancing speaking out and being silent
