-Band/Chorus Teacher
-My passion for music exists here at Southern, as the band and chorus teacher, but I’m also a part of the music ministry at Jamestown Presbyterian Church, and a trombone player for the High Point Horns.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Hannah (who drew the artwork), and our pets (pictured in the artwork), and playing games with friends.

I’ve also worked at the NC Zoo in the education department for eight years. My favorite animal is the Asiatic Black Bear. My wife and I are on a mission to visit every AZA-accredited zoo and aquarium in the US. So far, we’ve seen 20 out of the roughly 230!

Greensboro College Alumni joined Dr. Brotherton this morning for a rehearsal in preparation of the Spring Choral Concert (Alumni Concert) on Sunday, April 12 at 5:00pm.

Dr. Kelly A. Poquette, Assistant Professor of Music Education, had a blast serving as the clinician for the Davidson County Elementary All-County Concert earlier this month. Students from every Davidson County Elementary School came together to make beautiful music!
