Is your 8 month old struggling with sleep? I created this routine for a client and thought I’d share it here. Remember every baby is unique and there’s no one-size-fits-all.
Establishing a consistent bedtime routine is crucial for improving sleep at this age. Begin by creating a calming environment, dimming lights, and minimizing stimulation before bedtime. A warm bath can help relax the baby, followed by gentle massage and a change into comfortable sleepwear. Incorporate soothing activities like reading a short bedtime story or singing a lullaby. Ensure the room is comfortably cool, and use a white noise machine to drown out any disruptive sounds. Stick to a fixed bedtime, aiming for an early and consistent schedule. During nighttime wake-ups, keep interactions minimal and avoid stimulating activities. Implementing these practices can contribute to a more restful sleep.

🌸 Spring Forward Sleep Tips for Babies! 🌸
As we spring forward, some babies do fine with the spring forward time change, and some struggle. Helping your little ones adjust to the time change can be a breeze with these tips:
🕐Gradual Adjustments: Start shifting bedtime and nap times by 15 minutes earlier each day leading up to the time change.
🕑Natural Light Exposure: Encourage exposure to natural light in the morning to help regulate their internal clock.
🕒Consistent Bedtime Routine: Stick to a consistent bedtime routine to signal to your baby that it’s time to wind down and prepare for sleep.
🕓Comfortable Sleep Environment: Ensure your baby’s sleep space is conducive to rest with a comfortable temperature and minimal distractions.
🕔Patience and Flexibility: Remember, it may take a few days for your baby to fully adjust, so be patient and flexible during this transition period.
