A non-profit organization dedicated to the study of children’s social and cognitive development.

The DUCK Lab consists of a team of researchers (professors, graduate students, and undergraduate students) who are interested in several aspects of 2- to 10-year-old children’s development, such as:

*How children make social judgments about other people
*Sources of information that children use to learn about the world around them
*The ability to understand and use rules

We are thrilled that DUCKie Julie Peebles (co-supervised by Janet Boseovski and Stuart Marcovitch) has been recognized with a Judge’s Choice Award at the UNCG Graduate Research Showcase for her Master’s thesis presentation, “’My Body Does So Much for Me’: How 8- to 10-year-old Girls in Dance Feel About Themselves and Their Bodies’”
