Hey gang! Been a minute! 3 months ago I became a father and it’s been a whirlwind! I haven’t gigged yet but I’m starting to get back into some cool projects.
I’ve always wanted to build a suitcase bass drum. After I found this awesome accordion case I knew I finally had a solid contender. As you can see it came out great in no time at all! This case can hold a full size snare, a kick pedal, a hi-hat stand, and a cymbal stand.
Now that I’ve cracked the bass-case-code, I’d love to make some more! If you have a case with potential, I can try to make a drum out of it!! Send me a message if you’re interested.

My first personal restoration project of the year was this big ol 60’s Ludwig marching/field drum, measuring 10”x14”. With just a little elbow grease and some new lugs this has become one of the more impressive drums in my collection! If you have an old drum that needs some love send me a message!

First job of #2024 is for local hardcore/punk drumming legend Caleb Hogue , putting one of these snazzy mounts on his rack tom! I love the look of the drum and this mount matches the vibe perfectly. Catch him playing with so so so so many amazing bands. and probably more. Thanks buddy!!

Just finished up this bass drum for my friend Jeremy, you can see it in action this weekend at Carrboro Music Festival with his group Boom Unit Brass Band!

Cheers to all the new followers I’ve gotten recently! Stay tuned for more drums. In the meantime, enjoy this Big Black BOB snare I found and fixed up for my dear friend Andrew () to add to his already impressive Pork Pie collection. This is the Porkie equivalent of a Ludwig Black Beauty and it rips! Catch it in action with his hardcore band End Of Your Rope ()

The full restoration is done!! Originally belonging to family friend Darry Conner. A 60’s 12” Ludwig rack tom and a Leedy + Ludwig 15”(!) floor tom make this an INCREDIBLE classic Ludwig kit that sound amazing! You can pry them from my cold, dead hands.

Another restoration! This is a beautiful early 60s kit in black/gold duco paint finish, gifted to me several years ago by close family friend Darry Conner, the original owner (pictured playing with her band The Traitors). 3 ply shells with re-rings, all original parts, and they sound INCREDIBLE! Let me know if you have a vintage instrument in need of restoration

Another project, done! ✅ A once beautiful Export from the late 80’s I found in desperate need of some love, and missing a lot of parts. The wrap still has some wrinkles in a few spots, but now it’s a fully functional, super fun to play, 4-up-1-down concert tom kit! One of my favorite things about restoring instruments is bringing new life into something that was clearly neglected for years and was otherwise headed to the dump.
*These might not hang around for very long due to space (and practicality), if you’re interested in purchasing send me a private message*

Throwback to a fun paint job I did a few years ago for my friend ‘s nephew Leland! I was very proud of my edges on these drums. Some no-name MIJ kit. I can do drum shell refinishes, painting, and I’m about to learn how to do vinyl wraps! Let me know if you need your shells beautified 😍💕✨

This is why we don’t let parents fix band instruments!!!! This beautiful Masters Symphonic might take some wizardry but I hope I can get it back into use for local band director Mr. Gonzalez and the Ledford HS concert band!

Very happy with my latest restoration on these 70’s Reuthers! Let me know what you think in the comments, and send me a message if you need any vintage drums restored to their former glory!

Next on the workbench is this 70’s Reuther kit, previously owned by friend and band mate . Can’t find much about them other than they were a cheaper line of drums made in Taiwan (sometimes Japan) and produced by Pearl. Obviously they’re in need of some cleaning, but they have great bones (and all the internal mufflers!) and I can’t wait to bring some new life into them. If you have vintage drums in need of TLC, send me a message!
