As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we are reflecting on the wonderful ways we celebrated the rich cultures, traditions, history, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. 🌎✨

From learning about influential individuals to exploring cultural traditions, our students had opportunities to learn, appreciate, and celebrate the diversity that makes our school community so special! 📚🎨

Thank you to everyone who helped make these celebrations meaningful and memorable. We are proud to honor the heritage, stories, and traditions that enrich our school and our world—not just this month, but all year long! ❤️

🚀✨ **GCES, DID YOU LOOK UP AT THE SKY THIS MORNING?!** 🌌

Talk about an OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD sight! 👀 Some early risers may have spotted this incredible, glowing formation in the sky following the SpaceX CRS-35 launch.

It looks like something straight out of a science-fiction movie, but it’s actually a fascinating example of science in action! 🌎🔭

At GCES, we love moments that spark curiosity, inspire questions, and remind us that learning happens EVERYWHERE—even when we’re looking up at the sky! 💙💛

💡 **Today's wonder:** What causes a rocket's exhaust to glow like a giant jellyfish in the night sky?

Now THAT'S a reason to ask questions, explore, and think like a scientist! 🚀

Our 5th graders are starting their day by serving our school community through Flag Duty! ❤️💙

This is a great opportunity for our students to practice responsibility, teamwork, and leadership while helping with an important part of our school routine.

We are proud of our 5th graders for stepping up and showing what it means to be a leader at GCES! ⭐👏

As Future Ready Navigators, our students are developing their personal strengths and interests while building the collaboration, leadership, and life skills they will use in their future pathways.

🎭✨ Lights, Camera, Learning! ✨🎭

Our 5th graders took center stage to put on a special play for our Kindergarten and 1st grade students! 📚🎬

But this wasn’t just a performance it was a lesson in everything it takes to bring a play to life! 🎭

Our 5th graders helped our younger students learn about the many different parts of a production, including actors, directors, costumes, props, sets, lighting, sound, and more. 🎟️🎨🎤

It was wonderful to see our 5th graders take on leadership roles while our youngest learners watched, asked questions, and discovered that there is so much more to theater than simply being on stage!

👏 A big BRAVO to our 5th graders for sharing their talents and helping our younger students learn!
