Introducing Agnes, Thomas, Veda, James, Kat, Tia, Calvin, and Sophia, featured artists from our Scaled UP Exhibition currently on display in the Center for Visual Artists in the Greensboro Cultural Center.

These artists have elevated the visual experience in the gallery, pushing both the physical and conceptual limits of art on our walls. From large abstract expressions to vibrant figurative representations, the artworks on display embody the power of scale as a form of storytelling, drawing viewers into powerful narratives and compelling compositions.

From our Scaled UP exhibition to Pride Festival Greensboro Pride Festival by IMPAQT GSO and NC Folk Festival North Carolina Folk Festival there are LOTS of reasons to head downtown this month to celebrate the arts!

We are proud to introduce you to more Scaled UP artists… meet Grace, Megan, Brenda, Frank, James, Katie, Catherine, Jennifer and Heather!

Our Scaled UP exhibition truely elevates the visual experience, pushing both the physical and conceptual limits of art on our CVA walls. (YKIYK) From large abstract expressions to vibrant textile and fabric representations, the artworks on display embody the power of scale as a form of storytelling and experience.

Don’t miss seeing this show in person! The CVA Gallery will be exhibiting Scaled UP until September 20, so make sure to plan your visit to downtown Greensboro’s Cultural Arts center soon!

Sip, Shimmer and Sprout”: A Collaborative Exhibition Featuring Mike Valle, Sky Bradshaw and Emma Church

The CVA is proud to showcase three member artists working across painting, ceramics, reclaimed materials, and textile art come together in “Sip, Shimmer and Sprout,” a vibrant collaborative exhibition celebrating growth, transformation, storytelling, and the beauty found in everyday experiences. This exhibition aims to celebrate these three top winners of our Juried Member Show of 2025 at the Center for Visual Artists.

Bringing together the work of Mike Valle, Sky Bradshaw, and Emma Church, the exhibition invites viewers to explore how personal history, discarded materials, ancestral traditions, and emotional landscapes can be transformed into meaningful works of art. Though each artist works in a distinct medium, their practices share a common thread: a deep appreciation for the extraordinary potential hidden within ordinary moments, objects, and experiences.

SAVE THE DATE for the Opening Reception on Friday October 23, 2026 from 6-8pm at the Center for Visual Artists Gallery, 200 N Davie St in Downtown Greensboro.
