The last day of exams, we're almost there! Holgate Library at Bennett College closes at 5:00pm today.

We're open until midnight tonight! It's an extension of our extended hours!

Extended hours Monday, Dec. 9-Wednesday, Dec. 11! 8:00AM - 10:00PM

A historical resource available to students, faculty and the public from UNCG University Libraries' Digital Projects

Item of the day:

Another resource that is freely available to the public are the North Carolina Runaway Slave Advertisements. The project provides online access to all known runaway slave advertisements (more than 2300 items) published in North Carolina newspapers from 1751 to 1840. These brief ads provide a glimpse into the social, economic, and cultural world of the American slave system and the specific experience within North Carolina.

This one was placed June 8, 1936 looking for a runaway named Harry.
