✂️ 💜Ribbon Cutting Celebration – The New NEST Room ✂️💜
🛋️Our Counseling team, in partnership with our PTSA and NEST Room Committee, has been hard at work this year creating a dedicated space to support the social, emotional, and academic well-being of our students.
💜This project was made possible through collaboration, planning, and the support of National PTA. We are especially proud the Northern Guilford Middle School PTSA was selected as one of only 15 PTAs nationwide to receive the 2025-2026 National PTA Middle Ground Program Grant, funded through National PTA’s Healthy Minds 🧠initiative in partnership with the New York Life Foundation. The grant supports the creation of dedicated spaces where students can find connection, creative expression, peer support, and resources during times of grief and emotional challenge.
🎗️The new NEST reflects our commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel seen, heard, and valued. The space will provide opportunities for reflection, emotional regulation, positive connections, and personal growth, helping ensure every Nighthawk has access to the support they need to thrive.
📅We invite families, community members, school leaders, and supporters to join us as we celebrate this exciting milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and recognize the many individuals and organizations who helped make this vision a reality. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 5:30p on Monday, June 1, in Room 601. Although this is a floating event till 6:30p and families can come explore the space anytime in the hour, we hope PTSA members will stay for our last PTSA General Meeting of the year at 6:30p.

3. Check-outs will have lengthy wait times
4. Students may not be in possession of any electronic devices during secure testing sessions. This includes: phones, smart watches, air pods. Possession of an electronic device will result in a test mis-administration. Please help us remind students!
