Based on the forecasted conditions, the University will operate on Condition 1 of the adverse weather policy, Reduced Operations, starting Friday, January 10 at 3:00 p.m. through Sunday, January 12 at 11:00 p.m. Check SpartanSafe.uncg.edu for more.

Based on the forecasted wind, rain, and threat of flooding and power outages, all in-person classes on Friday will be canceled, and UNCG will operate on Condition 1: Reduced Operations of the adverse weather policy, beginning Friday, September 27 at 12AM midnight.

After a thorough investigation, the suspect from today's earlier incident is now in UNCG Police custody. Safety is our top priority, and we thank our community for sharing this responsibility of safety on our campus.

Police have determined there is no longer a safety concern in the area. Please resume normal activities at this time.

ARMED SUBJECT in the area of Tate/Oakland is ongoing. Police are on the scene. Evacuate that location if safe to do so. If it is not safe to evacuate, remain in a safe place and stay there until further directions are provided. All others must avoid the area. Additional updates will be provided as soon as possible. It is believed the subject is no longer on campus however continue to avoid the area for the time being.

ARMED SUBJECT on campus near the area of Tate/Oakland is ongoing. Police are on the scene. Evacuate that location if safe to do so. Subject is a black male wearing a gray track suit with a black helmet last seen eastbound on Oakland past Tate St.

ARMED SUBJECT on campus near the area of Tate/Oakland is ongoing. Police are on the scene. Evacuate that location if safe to do so. If it is not safe to evacuate, remain in a safe place and stay there until further directions are provided. All others must avoid the area. Additional updates will be provided as soon as possible. Subject is a black male wearing a gray track suit and black helmet last seen heading east on Oakland past Tate.

ARMED SUBJECT on campus just occurred near the area of Tate/Oakland just occurred. If you’re already at that location, evacuate the area immediately or find a safe place and stay there until further information is provided. All others must avoid the area. Police are on the scene. Updates will be provided as soon as possible.

Police have determined that the suspect left campus after the incident. Given what occurred on campus, a warrant for arrest was issued for Roland Salazar. If Salazar is seen, do not approach and contact UNCG PD immediately. Please resume normal activities at this time.
