The Student Veterans Association of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. SVA is a veteran advocacy, support, learning and networking group.

The Student Veterans Association is a subsidiary chapter of Student Veterans of America. The organization consists of veterans, military personnel, family members and general supporters. We provide tools and resources that can help members on and off campus. It’s a place of social interaction to sit and tell stories, share ideas, ask questions, and provide feedback. Happy Thursday! It’s time for our volunteer/organization of the week!

Jordan McClendon

Jordan is 28 years old and from Douglasville, GA. He is a student in media studies a UNC Greensboro and a member of the UNCG Student Veterans Association. Jordan served in the Marine Corps for eight years. He enjoys photography, film, and being an aquarist. He is a videographer and photographer who has his own business Jordan Lahon Films and Photography. One of Jordan’s favorite quotes is one from Gandhi “The best way to find yourself is by losing yourself in the service of others”

Our relationship….

Jordan learned about The Servant center from SVA president and helped in various volunteer projects. His latest project has been the recent volunteered services in professional videography and weeks of filming/editing of the newly released TSC mini documentary. Jordan says that it has been an honor to lend his services to our agency.
We could not do what we do without members of our community who donate time and efforts to help us on our mission to bring support and assistance to our veterans. Thank you, Jordan, and thank you for your service!
