Greensboro Jiu Jitsu Renzo Gracie Our gym's purpose is to benefit and enrich the community and ourselves through our exploration of Jiu-Jitsu.

Our gym is made up of members of a family who strive to see improvements in others as much as themselves on a daily basis. Here we understand that the principles we learn have a direct impact on our approach to daily life. We understand that as we grow and strive to understand more about ourselves and our place in the Jiu-Jitsu world, approaching this art with love and compassion, that we will als

o see such reflected in our attitude toward ourselves and others. Here we try to tackle first the obstacles that face us from within so that we can better master those we face outside of ourselves. A journey that is made much easier by a supportive team and family.

Goal: Successfully escape from a dominant position controlled by a purple belt during live rolling.

Mount, side control, back control, knee on belly — any dominant position counts.

The mission is simple:

GET CAUGHT BY A PURPLE BELT.
ESCAPE.

The weather got us last time, so we’re giving it another shot! This Sunday, August 30 at 1:00 PM, Greensboro Jiu Jitsu Renzo Gracie is heading to the Greensboro Grasshoppers game, weather permitting. 🤞☀️

We’ll be hanging out on the Left Field Lawn, so come find us, bring the family, and enjoy some baseball with the team!

We’re officially transitioning the kids back into Gi training starting today.

Competition Drilling — GI TODAY
Competition drilling will also be in the Gi this evening.

We got last week’s challenge wrong, so our apologies for the confusion. We’re redoing it this week the way it was originally intended.

Your mission is to hit a knee cut pass against someone from EVERY belt level:

⚪ White Belt
🔵 Blue Belt
🟣 Purple Belt
🟤 Brown Belt
⚫ Black Belt

That’s one knee cut against each belt level, completed during live rolling throughout the week.

Each time you knock out a belt level, let an instructor know so we can keep track.
