Our first and second year students had the opportunity to attend NCMGA!🧬 The North Carolina Medical Association biannual meeting was a great opportunity for education, and students got to participate in a collaborative environment of practitioners, students, and researchers.
Second-year student, Kelly, got to present her capstone research, “Evaluating the Efficiency of Population Genetic Screening for CDC Tier 1 Conditions in GeneConnect Study Participants”. Let’s go Kelly! 🎉

This week, a team of UNCG-GC faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students participated in a Paper Chase with and 3 other teams from . They wrote almost 5,500 words for their paper “Genetic Counselors as Research Participants: Longitudinal Evidence of Declining Response Rates” — coming to your favorite journal soon! But they made time for flip cup, dance parties and snacks 💻💃🍕
