Research is about more than what happens in the lab. Itโs about building skills, connections and confidence.
This summer, 19 undergraduate and community college students from across the country joined JSNN for immersive, faculty-mentored research experiences in nanotechnology, semiconductors, quantum technologies, advanced materials, biomedical sciences and more.
Through the NSF SENIC SUIN REU and Semi-BELLS Summer Internship Program, students gained hands-on research experience, strengthened their scientific communication skills, explored graduate school and career pathways, and built connections with researchers and peers.
The summer culminated in poster presentations where interns had the opportunity to share what they discovered โ and how much they grew along the way.
