North Carolina A&T State University students, faculty, staff and more than 70,000 alumni, deeply mourn the passing of the Rev. Jesse Jackson ’64 - classmate, alumnus, global civil rights icon and friend. His was a life truly well lived. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to the Jackson family.

UNC System Bestows Teaching Excellence Award upon Biology Professor Han Jian “Jessica” Han, Ph.D., of the College of Science and Technology, has been named N.C. A&T’s 2026 recipient of the UNC Board of Governors Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Barnes Hall building renovations with atrium updates, auditorium improvements, and the plans to establish a new Neuroscience research lab; 4. Innovations around student advising in our Life Mapping and Advising Center (LMAC), and 5. Record enrollment growth with approximately 850 majors, making the Biology Department one of the largest departments at NC A&T!
